ALBUM ARTWORK
A conceptual rebranding project that transforms Lana Del Rey's debut album through the lens of vintage Hollywood glamour.
For this creative exploration, I reimagined Lana Del Rey's debut album "AKA" with a completely new visual identity and conceptual direction. Taking inspiration from the recurring cinematic themes in her lyrics, particularly the line "Put me in a movie" from her song "You Can Be The Boss," I developed a comprehensive rebrand that positions the album as a cinematic experience.
Album Cover Redesign: Created a moody, atmospheric cover featuring noir-inspired photography and vintage film aesthetics that better align with the artist's evolved visual identity
Typography System: Developed a custom typeface inspired by classic Hollywood title sequences and movie credits from the 1940s-50s, with deliberate imperfections to evoke film grain and analog printing
Color Palette: Curated a rich collection of muted, sepia-toned colors complemented by deep reds and midnight blues to establish a cohesive cinematic mood
Packaging Concept: Designed a vinyl package that unfolds like a miniature film set, with inserts styled as vintage movie tickets, film stills, and a "director's notes" booklet
